On Friday, March 6, the Women’s Foundation of Greater Memphis proudly partnered with the Memphis Grizzlies and Nike for the 8th Annual Girls Summit presented by Nike.

This year’s Summit created an inspiring and energetic environment where girls could explore the power of sports, movement, and self-confidence. Designed to highlight the stories of women rising through athletics and physical activity, the event offered participants an engaging day filled with hands-on experiences and meaningful connection.

Girls had the opportunity to sample a variety of activities, including basketball, jookin, wrestling, and gymnastics. In addition to movement-based sessions, Nike facilitated a sports bra fitting station, and attendees participated in a body positivity art installation that encouraged self-expression and confidence.

The day concluded with a panel discussion led by nationally acclaimed women in sports, offering girls the chance to hear firsthand from accomplished leaders and role models. Their insights and experiences helped reinforce the importance of perseverance, wellness, and believing in one’s own potential.
