The spirit of giving was alive at the South City Holiday Celebration at the Emmanuel Center, hosted in collaboration with the Memphis Housing Authority and Urban Strategies, Inc. This joyful event was a heartwarming reflection of generosity, partnership, and community spirit.

Thanks to the incredible support of our Giving Tuesday donors and generous sponsors, we raised over $15,000 to provide holiday supplies and household essentials to more than 300 families in need. Families enjoyed an afternoon filled with food, games, prizes, and holiday cheer—and went home with bags of essentials to help them through the season.

The celebration also offered meaningful connection and access to resources for the 38126 community, with a special focus on former Foote Homes residents. Together, we created a welcoming space rooted in fellowship, dignity, and care.

Giving back truly is the essence of the holidays, and we are deeply grateful for a community whose generosity makes moments like this possible—bringing comfort, joy, and support to families when it matters most.
