In collaboration with Southwest Tennessee Community College, the Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis initiated a pilot program aimed at increasing access to vocational schools and raising graduation rates among low-income women to improve their economic well-being.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous donors for providing scholarships to help women obtain the necessary skills to secure higher-paying jobs.

At the Women’s Foundation, we believe when we invest in women, we’re investing in the future of our city. Women who are empowered to lift themselves out of poverty don’t just benefit themselves, they create ripple effects that positively impact their families, neighborhoods,  and ultimately, the entire city.

This initiative is one of the many ways we are helping families break the cycle of poverty by equipping women with essential skills to aquire higher-paying employment opportunities. Your support makes a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve, like Ciara S., a recent graduate of the Medical Assistant Program at SWTCC. Ciara earned her certification and shared, “This program was life-changing!”

With your continued support, we can enhance scholarship programs like the one at SWTCC, support more women in their educational journeys, and improve the economic prosperity of Memphis.

Thank you for being a vital part of our mission to empower women and strengthen families.
